Registered as a Sleeper? Now that you’ve registered for the Big Sleep Out, why not raise your sponsorship the easy way – online. This will then enable your sponsors to donate online, and add gift aid.
All you need to do is create your own sponsorship webpage through our combined charity Big Sleep Out event page at www.justgiving.com/winchestercn, then e-mail your webpage address it to all your friends and get them to donate quickly and easily online with a credit or debit card. Online donations from UK taxpayers collect a 28% tax bonus! It’s very easy to do (you don’t have to be a PC whiz) and by creating your own online sponsor page through Justgiving you can:
- Email the page to all your friends
- Watch your total grow on screen
- Include a photo and personal message
- Update your target amount as often as you like
- 28% tax bonus added to qualified donations
- No need to deal with cash or cheques
Just go to www.justgiving.com/winchestercn and click on the ‘Raise Money’ for this charity button. Then continue to follow all the instructions to create your own page. Justgiving is a charity website that automatically reclaims for the charities 28% tax on every qualified donation from a UK taxpayer – making it quicker for you to reach your target amount and ensuring more money goes directly to help our cause. Its secure servers means that all card information is totally safe. This is a very popular and well used method of fundraising.
We hope that all Sleep Out participants will aim to raise at least £100 each in sponsorship – if you can reach a much higher figure that’s fabulous too! There will be a prize for the individual and the team who raise the most sponsorship money. You can of course combine your online sponsorship page with your paper sponsorship form (printout paper sponsorship form here) for those who do not have access to, or do not feel secure about using, the web.
